KIMONO + GRAPPLING UNIFORM CARE

Every kimono is cut from distinct fabrics and weights; every athlete moves, sweats, and prefers fit in their own way. Treat your uniform with the same intention it was built with.

For a more fitted silhouette, wash warm and tumble dry low.
For a standard, relaxed fit, air dry in indirect light.
Always wash and sanitize after each training session — discipline extends beyond the mat.

Use a mild, low-residue detergent formulated for athletic wear or delicates. Enzyme-based cleansers preserve fiber integrity while removing sweat and oil. Avoid bleach and optical brighteners — they can dull the tone of organic cotton and distort Pantone® hues.

Wash your kimono separately, away from coarse fabrics or towels, to protect stitching and structure. Warm water cleanses without over-shrinking; cold water is too gentle, hot too harsh. Think spa warm, not sauna hot.

When drying, remove slightly damp if using a machine and allow to finish naturally. Between sessions, a natural linen spray keeps the fabric fresh without overwashing — prolonging both its hand-feel and its quiet elegance.

Cleanliness is part of craft.
Care is part of design.
